Our principles have over 80 years in the art and framing business. Our chief technician is a former Aaron Bros. and Michaels regional manager and trainer. There is probably nothing he or we can’t do when it comes to framing art, mirrors, or objects. Unfortunately due to advancing age, our hands shake a lot, our eyesight is poor and we don’t have the strength to lift anything bigger than a 16 x 20 frame. So we hire these young whippersnappers to do a lot of the work under our experienced direction and inspection. These youngsters are great because not only do they have the strength to work on the big jobs, but they can also operate these new-fangled, high-tech sophisticated computerized devices and systems we use to improve creativity, speed delivery, produce precision products and lower costs. Experienced pros and tech savvy youngsters make for a great product at a reasonable price.

And we apologize that we are a little hard to find and very cramped. We can’t pay big box retail rents without keeping our very skilled employees at minimum wages. That would not be fair. Nor could we keep our prices at levels that customers have told us are often 1/2 the big box stores.

We often receive inquires about undertaking repairs or modifications to existing frames or framed works. Such work can be extremely problematic with frames warped, dried out, or corners damaged from the original joining technique. Sometimes the original frame of such low quality that it may be difficult to repair or even deframe the artwork. Similarly mats, glass and the artwork itself can be damaged. Without actually seeing what you wish to repair or modify it is not possible to provide a reasonable estimate of cost or even feasibility. Keep in mind also that we do not stock "regular glass" or old fashion "non-glare" glass as we only use conservation glazing products, including non-reflective versions, of either glass or, our preferred medium, scratch and break resistant clear acrylic in either regular clear or museum anti-reflective versions. Our minimum fee for repairs or modifications is $120 in order to insure that enough time and attention can be given to the project in order to maintain our usual high standards.

We do the custom framing jobs others can't...oversized items like flags or large antique French posters. We work with hand wrapped fabrics in your choice of colors and materials for liners and unique mats, special mat openings, multiple special shaped openings, three dimensional objects,..just about anything that needs a decorative and protected mount for wall or floor.
And we build everything from scratch cutting our frames and mats in house and creating the final product from the inside out so that everything fits and looks right. Many big box stores order prefab components from remote facilities and sometimes there are errors in size, color, style or design and it can take a long time to get a redo. More Examples.
